THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Almost 20 passengers suffered injuries when the KSRTC bus in which they were travelling overturned at Karette Junction. As per Kilimanoor police, the bus belonging to Kaniyapuram depot, was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kilimanoor when the accident occurred.

PALAKKAD: The bodies of two who drowned in the Walayar reservoir while bathing on Sunday morning have been retrieved. The victims were identified as Surya Selavaraj (17) and Abdul Raheem (18), staff of a restaurant at Kovaipudur in Coimbatore.

KASARAGOD: A 12-year-old boy drowned in a river near Kumbla. Aveesh, son of Vikraman, a resident of Adukathbayal here, ventured into the Shiriya river for collecting shells along with friends after taking part in a birthday party at his mother’s ancestral residence at Shiriya.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM A 22-year-old pregnant woman, who was to be admitted to SAT Hospital for delivery, went missing here. She was identified as Shamna, wife of Anshad of Pallikkal, near Madavoor. The Medical College police launched a search for Shamna following a complaint from her family.

         Denied treatment, tribal woman dies    
 
KALPETTA: A tribal woman died in Wayanad owing to alleged absence of timely treatment. The dead has been identified as Chappa, 61, wife of Veran of the Vennamattom tribal hamlet at Thanniyad, near Randenal, at Edavaka in the district. Chappa, who had fever and vomiting, was brought to the district hospital at Mananthavady.
