The Bollywood movie ‘Queen’ that released in 2014 won Kangana Ranaut a National Award for best actress, and it was indeed one of her best performances.

Reports from the tinsel town say that now the South Indian film industry is getting ready to remake the movie in all the South Indian languages, and none other than ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’ fame Manjima Mohan would play the female lead in the Malayalam remake of the film.

Earlier, there were reports that Amala Paul was roped in for the role but it seems that Manjima has finally bagged the role.

Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal would play the lead role in Tamil, and Tamannaah has been roped in to play the part in Telugu.

While Neelakanta will direct the Telugu and Malayalam versions, it is speculated that actress Revathi would captain the Tamil project.

Manjima is currently busy with a handful of Tamil and Telugu movies. She debuted in Tamil in 2016 with Chimbu starrer ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’, directed by Gautham Menon, and also starred in the Telugu remake of the film by the same director titled ‘Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo’ opposite Naga Chaithanya.

She is currently busy with the Tamil film ‘Ippadai Vellum’ starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, and directed by Gaurav Narayanan.
