Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, Vakkad, Malappuram, has invited applications for an entrance examination to be held on July 25 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Tirur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Kannur for admission to its two-year (four-semester) postgraduates courses — MA Bhashasasthram, Malayalam (Sahithya Padanam), Malayalam (Sahityarachana), Samskarika Paithrika Padanam; MA Journalism and Mass Communication; MA Paristhithipadanam; MA Thaddeshavikasanapadanam; MA Samoohyasasthrapadanam (Sociology); and MA Chalachitrapadanam courses. Twenty seats are available for each course.

Graduates in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply. Upper age limit is 28 years (30 year for SC/ST) as on July 31.

Separate aptitude/entrance test will be held for each course.

Application fee is Rs.200 (Rs.100 for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates and persons with disability) and the fee should be remitted to the Malayalam University Account Number 32709117532, SBI, Tirur town branch, as per instructions.

Download application form and other details from the website in and submit duly filled application as per instructions. Online application facilities are also available. Printout of the application along with relevant documents should be sent to the university not later than July 15.

The test will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 25. The one-hour test comprises objective type questions.

Selection is made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the aptitude/entrance test. One should get at least 40 marks to qualify the test. The test results will be declared on August 4. Admission will be held from August 5 to 14 and classes will commence on August 17. Visit for details.
