THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC political affairs committee member K Sudhakaran has revealed that he was once invited to join the BJP. Talking in an interview in a private TV channel he has said that he’s never join the BJP and if he leaves the Congress, he’d prefer to stay away from politics.

He also said that he was approached by messengers of the BJP asking him to go meet BJP national president Amit Shah and national general secretary H Raja more than once but he did not concede.

Criticising all the major parties, he said that the BJP and the CPM are similar parties with fascist mentalities, and the Congress only promotes those who display servitude.

Sudhakaran lashed out against the Congress leadership during the broad executive meeting that was held at the Indira Bhavan on Wednesday. Sudhakaran was irked by him having to stop the hunger strike seeking a CBI probe in Shuhaib’s murder, without any previous notice.

He said that he should have continued the strike until the High Court accepted the petition regarding this in file but Oommen Chandy arrived and ended the strike.

“Though Gandhiyan way of peaceful protest is good, the Congress in Kerala would face the fate of the CPM in Tripura soon if it continues with it. The pathetic show of the Congress in Tripura was because the youth left the Congress cadres and joined the BJP. The situation is no different in Kannur,” he had said.

Sudhakaran had also said that there is already a criticism that the Congress is a party that cannot protect its members.
