DEVIKULAM: In the Kottakambur land deal case, the police report is in favour of Joyce George.

Munnar DySP had submitted a report in this regard to Thodupuzha court. “Sufficient documents are not available for investigating the case. It was Joyce George’s father who bought the land by paying money and later he procured the Pattayam (title deed) from the government,” says the report which also seeks permission to wind up the case.

It was Devikulam sub-collector who had cancelled the Pattayam of about 28-acre land of Joyce George MP at Kottakamboor on November 9, after finding out that it was an illegal settlement. The MP had given an appeal to the Collector against the Revenue department’s action.

According to the case, Joyce George MP had usurped government land using fake Pattayam and in the name of wife Anoopa, Mother Mary, brothers Rajeev George and Jaspin George.
