       Fisherman killed after high-mast light falls on him

KANNUR: A 58-year-old fisherman have died after a high-mast light apparently fell on him at Ayikkara harbor. Pavithran (56) of Thayyil in Kannur was sitting under an electric post, when the rusted post fell on him. He was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby district hospital where he succumbed with head injuries. None of the fishermen went to fishing due to the Okchi cyclone, and many were sitting at various places at the harbour, police added. The fishermen said they had already informed about the rusted electric post to the authorities concerned.
