Manambur
Suresh has been the London correspondent of the Kala Kaumudi
weekly and the Kerala Kaumudi newspaper since 1982. The son
of Manambur Krishnan Sadanandan and Kayikkara Krishnan Janaki
he has been living in London since 1973 with his wife Nedumparambu
Bhaskaran Sarasamma Jayasree and two children; Sandino and Sandhya.
He has worked for London city railway LUL since 1978. His career
in journalism dates back to his student days when he edited
"Yugaprabha" a manuscript magazine while he was student
at S N College Varkala and, once in London, he became the editor
of "Ushus", one of the first Malayalam language magazines
to be published in the UK. Suresh takes an active interest in
human rights issues, and community and cultural activities.
Since 1982 Suresh has reported on the London Film Festival for
Kala Kaumudi and has published articles on politics and the
arts in major Malayalam magazines and newspapers. In 1999 he
covered the World Cup cricket for Asianet TV. For six years
he was a freelance reporter for the (London) Financial Times
magazine on insurance. He has also directed and presented Malayalam-language
programmes for ABC radio in London
